Hi and welcome to minnesotasportstake.com where we write about all things Minnesota sports and more! I started this blog-site to provide fresh ideas to the Minnesota sports scene after being thoroughly beaten down by chronic pessimism that plagues Minnesota sports journalism.
As for my background … My name is Matt Olson, I am 22 years old and will be graduating from St. Olaf College in May of 2012. I played football at St. Olaf all of my four years, earning All-Conference honors at linebacker in 2010.
My love for all things Minnesota sports is unwavering. I have yet to experience a championship win (besides Gopher Hockey) as I was too young to remember the Twins winning the 91′ World Series. Although my role as a Minnesota sports fan has been futile thus far in my life, my hope is by the time I die I can celebrate a season’s ending with a win, instead of sorrowing in it with another loss.
